Podium Overview

This guide introduces the main areas of Podium and explains how to navigate its interface effectively.

After logging in, you’ll see the main navigation tabs across the top of the screen:

  • Fleet
    Displays your assigned vessels and provides access to vessel tracking, SSAS alerts, AIS search, and security information.
  • Views
    Allows you to create and view custom dashboards featuring charts, graphs, and data cards tailored to your operational needs.
  • Configure
    Opens account settings and configuration tools such as Charter Party Criteria, Geo Zones, Contact Lists, Emissions, and Vessel Rules.
  • Routes
    Displays Standard Routes, Optimised Routes, and Assigned Routes for your fleet.

Top Bar Elements

The top bar provides quick access to key tools and account settings:

  • Search Bar
    Located at the top centre, this allows you to quickly find vessels or views.
  • Notification Bell
    Displays alerts for SSAS activations, late or missing reports, and other important notifications.
  • Profile Menu
    Found in the top-right corner, providing access to User Settings, Organisation Settings, and Logout.

Fleet Page

  • Accessing the Fleet Page
    Select the Fleet tab to view your vessels on an interactive map.
  • Vessel List and Details
    The vessel list appears on the left-hand side. Click any vessel to view its current position and key details. Select Full Details to access more comprehensive information, including:
    • General Details
    • SSAS and Tracking
    • Routes
    • Voyages
    • Position Reports
  • Sub-tabs
    The Fleet page includes additional sub-tabs: Vessels, SSAS Alerts, AIS, and Piracy — each providing access to specific features.
  • Weather Overlays
    Use the cloud icon in the top-right corner of the map to enable weather and sea state overlays. You can toggle these on or off and adjust their opacity with the slider.

Views Page

  • Accessing Views
    Select the Views tab to open your custom dashboards.
  • Recent and New Views
    • Recent Views appear at the top for quick access.
    • To create a new dashboard, select New View in the top-right corner.
  • View Content
    Each view contains interactive cards displaying information such as charts, graphs, vessel itineraries, and data tables.
  • Timeline Control
    Use the timeline at the bottom of each view to adjust the displayed date range and current time.

Configure Page

  • Accessing Configuration
    Select the Configure tab to manage your organisation’s account and operational settings.
  • Admin Access
    Admin users can open Organisation Settings from the profile menu to manage users, vessels, vessel groups, and organisation-wide settings.
  • Available Tools
    Within Configure, you can access:
    • Charter Party Criteria
    • Geo Zones
    • Vessel Rules
    • Contact Lists
    • and other configuration tools.

Routes Page

Accessing Routes
Select the Routes tab to view and manage routes for your fleet.

Sections Overview

  • Standard Routes: Displays saved routes that can be uploaded or created using the Podium Route Finder service.
  • Optimised Routes: Shows weather-optimised routes based on oceanographic and meteorological data.
  • Assigned Routes: Lists routes currently assigned to vessels in your fleet.

User Permissions

Podium access levels vary based on user role:

  • Admin Users
    Have full access to all features, including account settings, configuration tools, and user management.
  • Editor Users
    Can edit vessel details, create views, and use most features, but cannot modify organisation-level settings.
  • Viewer Users
    Can view the Fleet page and certain Configure pages but cannot change configurations or create new content.
